This charming little dove bird appears to sing out a song in this finely crafted vintage modernist brooch by the Danish shop of Eiler & Marloe, circa 1940s.

The Art Deco era Skonvirke bird is comprised of 830 silver and features the distinctive Scandinavian Arts & Crafts aesthetic tradition, displaying sleek lines and the traditional ‘puffy’ style that distinguishes animals and nature themes throughout this period.

The dove brooch measures 1&9/16 inches wide at its widest point by 1&1/2 inches high, has a wide c-catch, weighs 14.9 grams, and is signed with initials “E&M” with their conjoined monogram logo, along with “830S” and design number “258".
