A Zuni Kachina dancer brooch of colorful inlay in sterling silver. Turquoise, mother of pearl, onyx, and coral are channel inlaid in silver. The brooch is enhanced with beading and twisted wire detail. This figure is so vivacious, and the lapidary work is wonderful. Circa 1960.

A Kachina is an ancestral spirit of the Pueblo Indians. There are more than 500 of these spirits, and they act as intermediaries between humans and the gods.

Details.....The brooch measures .81" by 1.29". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should expect some wear on all vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of their charm.
