Absolutely stunning circular reverse carved clear rock crystal intaglio brooch set in a light yellow metal setting. The intaglio shows a beautiful Grecian woman in flowing robes carrying an urn. Perhaps the most likely subject is Hebe the Greek goddess and personification of eternal youth in Greek mythology.

I have not tested the yellow metal setting so cannot confirm the composition of the metal, but these were sometimes unmarked gold. Beautiful, delicate cameo carving in a stunning brooch that is just over inch in diameter, fastening with an old style simple C clasp and pin. The brooch is in very good vintage condition, please examine photos carefully and message me with any questions.
